The Face of AACE
Marlon Moore (B.A. ’24) is an inspiration to many. Born with spina bifida, Moore became an advocate for those in the disability community. While at Georgia State, he led an organization supporting students with disabilities and was awarded the university’s coveted George M. Sparks Award for his impact.
Marlon started at Georgia State’s Perimeter College on the Clarkston Campus in 2018 and earned his associate degree. After a quick break, he transferred to the Atlanta Campus in 2021. From the start of his time on campus, he searched for organizations for students with disabilities. Marlon worked with Access Coordinator Victor Robertson in the university’s Access and Accommodations Center (AACE), and he told Marlon about an organization called DREAM: Disability Rights Education Activism Mentoring, for which Victor was the adviser. DREAM really resonated with what Marlon wanted to do: Advocate for people with disabilities.

Create a Vision Board Planner, Notebook or Journal
Join us for an event where you'll have the opportunity to transform the cover of your notebook, journal or planner into an extraordinary vision board! The goal is to create a cover that will reflect your unique vision for the semester ahead. You will take great pride in completing this process from start to finish from designing, or choosing your template, printing the planner, choosing your coil, laminating your preferred pages and binding the notebook together. Whether it's academic goals, personal aspirations, or a blend of both, our Panther Planner Printer LAB has all the tools you need to bring your dreams to life.
Benefits of a Mentor or Tutor
Join us as we educate students on the benefits of working with a mentor and tutor consistently throughout the semester. We will share statistics and data that show the positive correlation between students who take advantage of consistent mentorship and peer-tutoring.
Creating Art in the Dark
Join us for this unique event where participants will explore the link between touch, intuition, and visual expression by experimenting with paint, sculpting, and more, while blindfolded.
